As we look back at Halloween and inch closer to Thanksgiving, the Digs team is feeling both spooky and thankful; spooky about how fast the year has flown by, and thankful to each of you who keep sending thoughtful feedback that helps us improve every month. 🎃🦃
This October, we focused on clarity, smoother tools, and continued improvements to DigsCare™: Warranty. Heading into November, we have our eyes on finishing out 2025 strong 😎
This month, we fine-tuned warranty workflows for both builders and homeowners, the little details that make your post-handoff process shine. Check out all the great new stuff below!
You can now set a Warranty End Date in your Project Settings.
Dates are visible to homeowners in several areas to ensure they are aware of the time box.
Reinforces that warranty coverage has a defined timeline
Prepares for teams, process, and customers for upcoming Aftercare and post-warranty tasks
Warranty team members can now view tickets in a nested, grouped format.
Use Filter → Group Tickets by / Project
Easily view all tickets for a single home
Search still works seamlessly within your grouped list

Homeowners now have a dedicated Warranty section on their Dashboard where they can preview the most recent ticket updates and create new tickets directly from the Dashboard.
This keeps warranty activity visible and easy to manage, and it is right next to your Company logo (if you have uploaded branding).
Homeowners can now update additional elements of their own tickets:
Select a Category from builder-supplied options. Users cannot create new categories, but if one exists, they can select it. The warranty team can correct it if the wrong choice is made.
Close tickets themselves when resolved
Homeowners cannot Reopen tickets. Your team decides if a reopen request qualifies as a new ask or is part of an existing tracked task.
If a homeowner closes a ticket, the builder-side Classification updates automatically to ”Homeowner Resolved”. What is classification you ask? Great question..
Builders now have two new fields for managing tickets internally:
Classification: Builder Warranty, Manufacturer Warranty, Homeowner Resolved, and Not Covered. etc. Check it out and let us know what other classification labels would be useful.
Priority: Critical, High, Medium, Low, Cosmetic
🔒 These fields are for your internal use only. Homeowners won’t see priority or classification labels.
Check out all the new enhancements today in DigsCare!
Zoom just got smarter for floor plans and documents:
CTRL/CMD + = → Zoom In
CTRL/CMD - → Zoom Out
CTRL/CMD 0 → Reset to 100%
These shortcuts now zoom the on-screen content, not your browser window. (Note: Windows users use Control, Mac users Command)
Videos shared via QR codes or links now play directly in your browser.
No download required: just click and watch. (Download links are still available if needed.)
When inviting a user who already belongs to another workspace, you’ll now see a more helpful message explaining why the invite can’t go through and how to fix it.
✅ Fixed: Selecting a floor plan area in a Warranty ticket sometimes saved the wrong location
✅ Fixed: Older floor plans showing incorrect room highlight styles
✅ Fixed: Comments not appearing in search or Ask Digs results. These comments and data elements were reindexed and the issues are fully resolved
No joke - soon you’ll be able to share an entire folder with a single public link or QR code.
In addition to one-off file sharing, share a link to a whole folder and any files inside it. Teaser complete - More to come!
Did you know you can copy and paste annotations, shapes, and measurements from one layer to another? If you put it in the wrong spot, there is no need to throw up your hands, and start over. just Copy Pasta (as the kids say). Select or Highlight what you want to move, use the keyboard shortcut CTRL/CMD+→X to cut (C for copy), then on the corrected layer CTRL/CMD+→V to paste
Check out this video on editing Measurements to see some Copy Pasta examples in action.

Say goodbye to spreadsheets and scattered emails—DigsCare™ is now live.
Built for builders, DigsCare is a centralized warranty and aftercare tool that keeps your team organized, responsive, and professional after the keys are handed over.
AskDigs™ enhances every warranty ticket by automatically suggesting relevant documents, identifying the issue’s location within the home, and extracting additional context, making the resolution process faster, easier, and more efficient for your team and the homeowner.

Homeowners submit requests through a branded portal tied to their Digs account and their home. Every ticket flows into your Digs dashboard for easy review, assignment, and resolution.
From active warranty issues to questions years later, DigsCare helps you respond faster, avoid miscommunication, and deliver lasting peace of mind.
✔️ Streamlined Submissions

Your team can even add tickets on their behalf to capture everything in one place.
✔️ Centralized Dashboard
Every ticket across all projects, in one view. Filter by project or keyword, sort by “newest,” and never miss a beat.

✔️ Live Status Updates
Assign team members, keep things moving, and automatically notify homeowners of progress, both in-app and by email.
✔️ Floor plan Precision & Attachments
Tickets can be tied to specific locations on the floor plan, with attached photos, videos, comments, and a full activity log to ensure clarity.

As part of a recent security update, Digs no longer supports SVG files when publishing documents via QR codes or public links. This change was made proactively after identifying a known browser-based vulnerability associated with the SVG format.
You can still upload and store SVG files within your Digs projects for internal use. However, they can no longer be shared publicly using QR codes or share links.
Use of SVG files in Digs is relatively rare, so we don’t expect this change to affect most users. That said, if you have questions or need help converting SVGs to a different format, our team is here to help.
We recently fixed an issue where some users who were eligible for a free Pro trial didn’t receive access as expected. If that was you—our apologies! The issue has been resolved, and impacted users should now have full access to their 14-day Pro trial.
If you weren’t affected but are interested in trying out Pro for free, we’d love to help! Just reach out and we’ll get you set up with a 14-day trial—no strings attached.

We are excited to announce the official public release of DigsCloud. DigsCloud helps your team organize and manage documents in one place. You can store company files like legal, permit, engineering, corporate documents and work on them together, even if they are not part of a project. With features like advanced search, shared folders, and secure access, finding and sharing documents is fast and easy. You can also copy or link files to specific projects when needed, keeping everything connected, in one place.
DigsCloud is available with paid user seats in a Digs Pro subscription and above. Upgrade today to organize your files better, work together more easily, and make sure your team always has the right documents at the right time.
Organize Files Beyond Projects: Store and manage files not tied to specific projects, ensuring organization and accessibility across your team.
Access All Projects in One Place: The synced Project tab in your workspace consolidates all project documentation for easier navigation.
Seamlessly Integrate with AskDigs: Fully integrated into the AskDigs ecosystem, DigsCloud streamlines collaboration and information flow, simplifying transitions between projects.
DigsCloud makes file management effortless, enhancing productivity and promoting long-term user satisfaction.
We’re excited to unveil the enhanced AskDigs, now more powerful and versatile than ever with the release of DigsCloud!
AskDigs empowers you to find answers effortlessly—whether you’re working within DigsCloud, exploring your projects, or managing your files and folders. From uncovering details about your internal documentation (like “What is our standard appliance package?”) to tracking specific project elements (e.g., “What fireplace was installed at 84 Rainey Street?”), AskDigs has you covered.
No matter where you are in Digs, AskDigs is now always at your fingertips. What’s more, you can seamlessly shift the context of your questions—whether it is your current project, other projects, or DigsCloud files.
We’re building AskDigs to make your work easier and smarter, and your feedback is invaluable to us. Share your thoughts and help us shape the future of AskDigs!
We have some exciting things on the horizon with Digs! Some of the features and functionality that we are working on are the following:
Publish and share files with QR Codes
You will be able to hang QR codes on-site, enabling stakeholders to access information while on the job, with ease.
Attach already existing files
Bye bye duplicate files, you soon will be able to attach existing files and documentation to comments and tasks.
Just what you need Scheduling
Create project stages, assign leads, and create overall project timeline to keep all stakeholders up to date on progress.
Stay tuned for even more!
Issue: The total project count in a workspace could appear differently depending on who is viewing it and their access to projects.
Resolution: This issue has been fixed. All users will now see consistent project counts based on their access rights.
Issue: Currently, Digs allows each email address to be a paid member in only one workspace. If someone tries to invite a user already tied to another workspace, no clear error message is shown, leaving users confused.
Resolution: We've added a helpful error message to notify users when inviting someone in this situation, suggesting they use a different email address. Note: Users can still be added as Collaborators to any project, regardless of workspace membership restrictions.
Future Plans: Digs is working on expanding support for multiple workspaces, so any email can join multiple workspaces without restrictions.
A Season of Growth and Gratitude
Our team has been hard at work pushing out exciting new features like DigsCloud, designed to make your workflows more efficient and collaborative. These big releases are a testament to the dedication and passion of our team. We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for your continued support on this journey!

Restrict Vendors to your Builder network.
Released in October 2024, Digs Pro and Enterprise accounts are now able to hide the 'Find A Pro' link across all projects, ensuring greater control over their vendor relationships and protecting repeat business opportunities that begin during the build phase.
Additionally, For all account types, Digs has modified the visibility of the 'Find A Pro' feature when it is active. The link has been removed from areas like Profile, Settings, the Project Selection screen, and the Contacts page. It remains prominent inside active projects.

Invite users from the main Project menu
Users can now invite new members directly from the three-dot menu on the Digs projects page—no need to open each project! This update makes it quicker and easier to add people to one or more projects.
Handoff Process Update: Issue Resolved!
We recently addressed a defect affecting some users during the project handoff to homeowners, where an error disrupted the final handoff process after the build was complete. We’re happy to report that this issue has now been resolved! To ensure a smooth transition for every project, we’ll continue to monitor and improve the handoff process as we finalize this fix. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance your experience!
New in Early November: DigsCloud Workspace Files
We’re thrilled to introduce DigsCloud Workspace Files, a new feature launching in early November for Pro and Enterprise accounts! This update allows teams to upload and centralize files that aren’t tied to a specific project, making it easier to organize and access essential resources across your organization.
DigsCloud Workspace Files integrates seamlessly with the AskDigs ecosystem, enhancing collaboration and information flow. Files can be effortlessly promoted from the centralized workspace to individual projects with just a few clicks, ensuring your teams always have the latest data right where they need it. Our team has been hard at work advancing DigsCloud (workspace files & folders), while also making significant strides in enhancing Digs' overall performance. This month, we introduced key updates that have dramatically improved speed and responsiveness across the platform, with a special focus on optimizing the mobile experience.
We are also wrapping up on developing a new centralized User Management UI, designed to simplify user administration across all projects. This single, unified interface allows for efficient workspace-level management, while preserving project-specific user controls. With the addition of a clearer role structure and improved distinctions between subscribed users and guests, this update enhances both control and security.
In response to customer feedback, we've also introduced new roles and permissions. The updated User Management UI gives Workspace Admins a central hub to manage users and their roles across projects, offering more flexibility and precision. The new roles—Manager, Editor, and Collaborator—allow for role-based access, streamlining administration and making it easier to customize user permissions.
We are in the final stages of wrapping up a new measurement functionality called Point-to-Point measurements. This is a big request from you all, allowing them to capture measurements of irregular walls, rooms and polygonal shapes. This will go live over the next couple of weeks!

In early September, users reported delays with askDigs responses, often paired with frustrating "I don’t understand" messages. These issues would sometimes happen at the same time, adding to user frustration. Mid-month adjustments were made, resolving both problems, and askDigs performance has significantly improved since.
In recent months, some users reported that layers and annotations would briefly blink before solidifying. If you’ve noticed these "haunted" behaviors, rest assured—just in time for October, Digs engineers have fixed the issue. It turns out, no ghosts were involved—just some quick resolutions!

askDigs now has a deeper understanding of conversations, decisions, project information and giving you a more direct response as well to your questions. You can ask more detailed questions, like the dimensions of rooms and spaces—if the details are in the project, askDigs has you covered! And this is just the beginning; askDigs will keep evolving to become even more intelligent and efficient. Stay tuned for even more awesome enhancements coming to askDigs!

We are in the final stages of wrapping up a new measurement functionality called Point-to-Point measurements. This has been a big request from you, allowing you to capture measurements of irregular walls, rooms and polygonal shapes. You also will be able to change the color of your measurements, allowing to distinguish different measurement types. This will go live in the next week.

By popular demand, we’ve introduced the White Out Tool! Now, you can easily use the pencil or marker tool to white out sections of your blueprint. Whether you need to remove a wall or make small adjustments, it’s simple—just select the white color in the palette and apply the white out function with ease.

As we’ve shared before, we’re committed to the upcoming release of Digs Cloud, along with enhanced user roles and permissions. These updates are designed to provide a more seamless and controlled experience within Digs and a strong business impact.
As a reminder, Digs is making changes to user permissions to better reflect those responsibilities. What does this mean for you?
Effective immediately, Project Owner is being renamed Manager. This provides clarity, as many projects currently have multiple Project 'Owners'.
Starting in late August 2024:
Using your existing project invite tools, new user roles will be available to differentiate Admins, Builders, and other project participants.
Free Collaborators will be recategorized as project guest roles and will be updated to remove potentially negative user rights, like deleting other people’s comments or files. We trust people, but accidents happen.
A new Editor role is being added beneath Manager. Editors will not have full project control but will have more permissions than a Collaborator, such as deletion rights and file management.
Next up, a new centralized user management console will allow Admins to see all users in one location, easily update a user across several projects, and keep your projects secure.
This new feature will allow users and project managers to create private areas within a project, enabling select stakeholders to collaborate and conduct business in a more private and focused environment.
